Dr. Johannsen
(Professor of medicine in 1800's)

Well hello,
This is Dr. Johannsen.  How may I help you?

You ask about hot flashes and menopause.

Well let me give you a little understanding behind this issue that many
woman suffer from.  Your physical body goes through many life changes,
as you went through puberty which caused many disruptions in the body,
and it goes through many changes actually every 7 years.  Menopause is
a cessation of the biological clock to be able to conceive a life.  This
carries with it many emotions and beliefs that a woman may have about
herself and these beliefs can cause an imbalance.  For instance, you
never had a child and desire one. There is a great loss and resistance to
the ending of this cycle and as such this resistance of really letting go of
a part of your life and being ok with it is what creates this fighting as you
might say within your body.  You can say that the imbalance is not totally
accepting this change.

Now you might say that women who have had children and are at this
point in their life and still go through these hot flashes.  So what is the
cause of this?  Well, there is this fear of aging that comes with this
change, as it says that you are no longer young and vibrant any longer as
a part of you has died.

I would like to change this consciousness.  And set the record straight.

In truth, menopause comes on by your belief.  You may expect it
because of societal expectations, you may wish for your cycle and
child-rearing period to end and if it is in a natural time your body will
create this for you.  If you have the desire to let's say not have your
period any longer or not have any children and it is in a time that is not
what is desired of your soul, then you may create an illness to stop your
period as you have created a resistance from what is naturally to occur.

You also may have beliefs that say that because you are no longer a
whole woman that you would create imbalance in your system.

In the case above of not having had children, there  may be a deep
sadness that you had no children, somehow incomplete because of this
and not accepting of yourself making this transition.  You equate this
transition with aging and so in a sense are fighting it.

You don't have to look at it as aging but as moving into another
experience of your life.  A different phase that really can be your greatest
time of your life.  Remember sex is only for procreation, not about loving
another.

Now that being said the first step is to let go and allow and accept change
with joy and excitement in what is ahead of you.

Now for the physical side of things, when you are younger you are
generally more active.  When you get older you have slowed down quite
a bit.  It is important that you stay as active as you can.  We have stressed
how important that daily exercise is on your energy.  This will benefit you
greatly.  Even to start at least ½ hour to an hour.

Drink plenty of water.

We restricted your intake of soy products as your estrogen levels are
changing and regulating.

Eating more fruits and vegetables is highly recommended.

Get a regular B complex vitamin in additional to your B12.

You are getting plenty of vitamin E with all the avocado you are taking
however, it is generally recommended to take a vitamin E capsule for
women who are not eating a balanced diet.

I would take 4 of the Mezotrace daily for calcium.

Other than that once you start exercising as much as you can you will
see a difference.

Do all that I have said and you will see a change and your system will
balance itself.

(Of course check with your regular doctor.)
